Exercise and Sport Science Students Showcase Scholarly Work
Graduate student Michelle Kuzma received an outstanding poster award for her poster, "Current Concussion Knowledge and Return-to-Learn Management Guidelines for Educational Professionals" at the College of Health Sciences "Celebrating Student Scholarship: Improving Kentucky's Health" event on April 30th at the EKU Center for the Arts. A total of 89 poster presentations were given as well as 6 oral communications by students in all departments of the College of Health Sciences. The event was the College's first and was themed after Governor Steve Beshear's health goals for the Commonwealth.
Other students from Exercise and Sport Science who presented included Kayla Bowman (The Relationship Between Personality Type and Exercise Motivation), Una Britton (The Relationship Between Perceived Coaching Behaviours and Athlete Attributional Style), Ricky Morse and Cody Begley (Multiple Soft Tissue Injury of the Elbow in an Adolescent Male Soccer Player), and Travis Byrd (Examining the Effectiveness of a PHE 190/390 Activity Class on Improving Body Composition, Strength, and Power Production Over the Course of One Semester).
