Exercise and Sport Science students at College of Health Sciences Scholarship Day

Twenty Exercise and Sport Science students presented posters at the second annual College of Health Sciences Scholarship Day held April 19 at the EKU Center for the Arts. The scholarly work reflected individual and student-faculty research, case studies and literature reviews in athletic training, sport management, coaching, exercise physiology, human performance and fitness. A total of 129 posters from seven departments in the College were presented. Highlighting the day's program was keynote speaker Dr. David Dyjack, Executive Director of the National Environmental Health Association, who spoke on "charting a course to further advance and elevate the environmental health arena both nationally and globally."

Daniel DeLuca (The Impact of Winning on Donor Behavior: A case Study) and Shelby Davis (Putting the Athletic Back in the Trainer) received outstanding poster awards for the graduate and undergraduate student divisions respectively.

Neal Settle - Concussion education in boy's high school soccer players and the effect                         that it has on in-game concussion reporting

Jennifer Chiu - Pain and mental health care for pregnant women in the third trimester                           and postpartum

Ebony Inskeep - The impact professional athletes and social media have on product                                 sales
