Dr. Fuchs Named Fellow of the Athletic Training Academy in National Academies of Practice

Sometimes Christmas comes early. Dr. Eric Fuchs, athletic training faculty in the Department of Parks, Recreation, Exercise and Sport Science, recently received notice that he was being inducted as a member and Distinguished Fellow of the Athletic Training Academy in National Academies of Practice! He will formally be inducted in the Spring of 2023 in Washington, DC where he will receive the distinctive NAP medallion. Dr. Fuchs, elected by his peers, will be joining other healthcare professionals from multiple health professions to join this interprofessional group dedicated to "supporting affordable, accessible, coordinated quality healthcare for all."

The Athletic Training Academy in National Academies of Practice is dedicated to advocating for Athletic Trainers' impact on interprofessional collaboration in person-centered health care. It is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1981 to advise governmental bodies on our healthcare system. NAP firmly believes that close collaboration and coordination of different healthcare professions, aligned through a common vision, can advocate for patients and model excellence in interprofessional aand preventative care. NAP is dedicaated to lifelong learning from, with , and among different healthcare professions to promote and preserve health and well-being for society.
