Fitness and Wellness

Employment in wellness and health promotion is expected to increase 19-37% from 2010 to 2020, according to O'Net Online. This growth will be driven by professionals who teach people how to reduce health care costs through healthy lifestyles. Graduates of the Fitness and Wellness Management degree program will have the knowledge and skills necessary to enter careers such as personal training, corporate wellness, strength and conditioning, commercial fitness, hospital wellness, community fitness and recreation, among others. Curricula provide students with knowledge and skills needed to successfully certify through ACSM, ACE, NSCA, AFAA and other professional groups. A culminating internship places students in fitness or wellness agencies to get "hands on" learning and experience.
